School Council Info Session & First Meeting
Info Session – Thurs Sept 29 – 7 pm
Prior to our first School Council meeting, we will have an informal info and Q&R session virtually next Thursday, September 29 at 7:00 pm. If you’d like to learn a bit more about School Council or have any questions, please consider attending. We will send out the meeting link via School-Day next week. If you are not able to attend this meeting but have any questions, please email us at rivcouncil@gmail.comor post your question on the “Riverside School Council Information” Facebook Group.

Mission/Vison of School Council
The mission of the School Council is to act as a channel between the staff, students, and parents to improve the Riverside experience for everyone – academically, emotionally, financially, and socially. The vision of School Council is to nurture a respectful and accessible environment where faculty, students and parents can collaborate to support an engaged, caring and spirited school community
Parent/Guardian Engagement
We are actively looking for new members to join School Council. Please consider coming out to our information session or asking questions via email or the Facebook page to see if being a member of School Council might interest you. We understand that School Council isn’t an option or interest for every parent or guardian so we want to let you know that Parent Engagement can take many forms. Examples of ways you can engage in your child’s school experience include: asking a question via email or on Facebook, attending events put on by staff or School Council, regularly talking with your children about what’s happening at school, tons of volunteer opportunities and much more.
