Hello Riverside Racoons,

 

We are excited to inform you that we will be celebrating our Grade 6s on Thursday, June 24th during the school day as they prepare to transition to grade 7 in September. This celebration will be a prerecorded link that you can enjoy with your family. This celebration will include both our in-person and distance learning students. We will share the link with families on June 24th. 

This will be an opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our grade 6s within their school community. We will be recognizing all students’ accomplishments and reinforcing the value of community and all learning. Schools across the WRDSB  are planning celebrations with a consistent and equitable approach.

As we continue to work towards creating equity of opportunity for our students, we also acknowledge the extent the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the learning environments in our schools. As we adhere to strict Public Health guidelines and provide these celebrations in a safe and equitable manner, virtual celebrations across the WRDSB will refrain from drive-bys, door drop-offs, awards and gifts.

We hope your family enjoys the tribute recognizing this year’s grade 6 students. We appreciate their contribution to Riverside Public School and wish them all the best in their future.
